Russia expresses sympathy with Iranian flood victims
Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement on Saturday pointed to dispatch of first humanitarian aid to the Iranian flood-stricken people, expressing solidarity with the Iranian flood-stricken people.
It also prayed that Iran would overcome the natural disaster through endurance and resistance.
Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations also said in another statement that sending aid packages to the country began earlier in response to Iran’s calls for help.
Russia has so far sent packages of blanket and foldable beds to the Iranian flood-hit people.
According to the head of Iran’s Coroner’s Office, people as many as 70 have been killed in 13 Iranian provinces either in the recent floods in the country or in accidents connected to the floods.
