Grounds prepared for Iran-Iraq interaction in int’l developments

President Hassan Rouhani said that today conditions are prepared for interactions between Iran and Iraq in regional and international developments.

He made the remarks in a meeting with the Iraqi religious authority Ayatollah Mohammad Saeed Hakim late on Wednesday.

Referring to good ties between Iran and Iraq in various fields and positive agreements of the two countries, Rouhani said, 'Fortunately, Iranian and Iraqi officials are seriously determined to mutual boost cooperation.

Ayatollah Hakim, for his part, wished success for President Rouhani and all the Iranian officials, saying that the two countries’ authorities should make decisions and plans in line with the two nations’ interests. 

Pointing to the enemies’ plots to create discord among the Muslim nations and governments, he said, “We will withstand the enemies’ conspiracies by strengthening unity and solidarity.”
