Russian, Iranian held talks in Moscow

Iran’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amirabdollahian and his Russian counterpart have held a meeting in Moscow to discuss issues of mutual interest.

The Iranian foreign minister, who arrived in the Russian capital on Tuesday night, went to the venue of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to hold talks with his counterpart on Wednesday.

Upon his arrival at the Vnukovo International Airport, the top diplomat told correspondents that the window of dialogue was still open and the Russian and Iranian top diplomats would negotiate the return of signatories to the JCPOA commitments.

As to the United States’ concern about Russia-Iran defense cooperation, he noted that Moscow and Tehran naturally put the defense collaborations on agenda, but the cooperation would not be against any third party.irna
