Basing the country's issues on others is a wrong approach: Ayatollah Khamenei

Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, met with the President and members of the cabinet today (Tuesday), August 30, 2022 in the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah.

The following are some of the main points Imam Khamenei stated during this meeting.

One of the successes of Mr. Raisi's administration is the emphasis on the Revolution's and Islam's slogans such as seeking justice, avoiding luxury, supporting the oppressed and countering the arrogant powers.

Some people say we must definitely have relations with a certain country to solve our problems, but this is very harmful to the country. Basing the country's issues on others and waiting for them [to resolve the issues] is the wrong approach.

One of the new administration’s achievements has been to eliminate the society's state of constantly waiting to see what others on the outside will decide about us. This administration is placing importance on domestic capacities and is working on them.
