Rouhani: I hope that with Supreme Leader's guidance, we'll overcome sanctions, enter the global competition in digital, knowledge-based economy
Our country's amazing progress in nanotechnology makes us proud
President expressed hope that with the guidance of the Supreme Leader, we will be able to overcome the sanctions and enter the global competition in the field of digital and knowledge-based economy.
Speaking on Tuesday evening in the meeting and after the report on the development of nanotechnology in the country, Dr Hassan Rouhani referred to the great and effective capabilities of our country in the field of nanotechnology and its applications in industry, health and various sciences such as aerospace and defence, saying, "Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has made honourable progress not only in the field of production of science and papers in the field of nanotechnology, but also in its implementation and transformation into important industries and products".
The head of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution also stated that the application of sanctions by the enemies has been more important in imports, and said, "Sanctions are detrimental not only in imports but also in exports, especially new technologies that are the result of the efforts and knowledge of the young generation and Iranian scientists".
Dr Rouhani expressed hope that with the guidance of the Supreme Leader, we will be able to overcome the sanctions and enter the global competition in the field of digital and knowledge-based economy.
The head of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution stressed the need for private sector participation to invest in nanotechnology, adding, "The work of our young scientists in the field of nanotechnology is very valuable and must be developed".
Dr Rouhani stressed the importance of the role of nanotechnology in the health sector, especially during the outbreak of coronavirus, adding, "The revolutionary, national and Islamic spirit of the young generation has played an important role in the development of new technologies, including nanotechnology, biotechnology and nuclear, and this role should be further strengthened and highlighted".
