"All cities and 78% of villages nationwide enjoy high-speed internet or 3G and 4G," he said, adding, "One of the great honours of the government is providing the opportunity for social and political businesses".
Dr Rouhani continued, "Even in social, cultural and political fields, it is the cyberspace that has facilitated people's participation in all affairs of the country".
"Today, great developments have happened in the country in economic, environmental and economic fields because of the cyberspace," he said.
The President added, "The fact that a startup can create 1.6 million jobs in just 4 years is a great honour for the young generation and the educated".
He said, "The fact that residents of villages can sell their products directly without brokers is a great job that information technology and communications have created for us".
On some pressures and obstacles on the way of issuing the required permits, he said, "Conditions are very different from the past, and the government is carrying a heavy responsibility in this regard".
Dr Rouhani also said, "The young generation and the society must become compatible with the new conditions to be able to take the best advantage of it".
He went on to refer to sanctions and unilateral actions in the world these days, saying, "Self-reliance, cooperation with friendly countries and advancement of science are the only ways to go".
