Iran will continue its support for the Palestinian Intifada against the Zionist regime, a senior Iranian lawmaker said on Friday.
The resistance pivot is powerful than ever before and in spite of the US support, the Zionist regime is desperate and weaker than ever before, Amir Khojasteh, head of Iran-Palestine Parliamentary Friendship Group said.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Saleh al-Arouri, the deputy chairman of Hamas politburo.
The lawmaker referred to the US sanctions and Washington measure to list Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist and said that this is because of IRGC's role in fighting terrorism.
Iran will continue siding with the Palestinian people and the resistance groups till their complete victory, he added.
In the meantime, the deputy chairman of Hamas politburo lauded Iran's support for the Palestinian resistance groups.
He expressed the hope that with the victory of resistance groups in Palestine, the US embassy in Holy Quds will be closed and Iran's embassy in the occupied territories wil be opened.
The Palestinian resistance groups understand the fact that the US hostilities against Iran are because of Tehran's full support for the Palestinians, al-Arouri noted.
A delegation from Iranian Parliament arrived in the Lebanese capital early on Thursday on the first leg of a regional tour which will take them to Damascus.
During their stay in Beirut, the Iranian lawmakers are scheduled to meet with Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and a number of other Members of Parliament of the country.
After their two-day stay in Beirut, the Iranian lawmakers will depart for Damascus on Friday where they will meet the Syrian People's Assembly Speaker Hammoudeh Sabbagh and a number of their counterparts as well.
