Insulting the Prophet violation of morality, insulting all Muslims, all prophets, human values
Dr Hassan Rouhani said in a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, "It is surprising that those who claim to be high in culture and democracy, in some way, albeit unintentionally, encourage others to violence and bloodshed".
Stating that freedom does not mean closing down the lessons of morality, the president said, "Conversely, freedom can be useful to society when all values are respected, not insulting a person to whom everyone is indebted".
Dr Rouhani added, "Each and every European and all those who live in the East and the West are indebted to the Prophet of Islam".
The President emphasised, "Westerners should understand that the great Prophet of Islam is loved by all Muslims and freedom seekers in the world. Insulting the Prophet means undermining morality and insulting all Muslims, all divine prophets and human values".
Dr Rouhani said, "If the West, Europe and France are really telling the truth by saying that they seek peace, brotherhood and security in the human society, they should stop interfering in the internal affairs of Muslims because all the problems and grudges held in the hearts are because of the oppression, persecution and inappropriate interference of the West in the affairs of Muslims throughout history".
The President added, "A clear example of this is Yemen today, where you see the poor, innocent people of Yemen are being killed under various Western bombs and the planes that the Westerners gave to the invading countries".
Dr Rouhani stated, "The lesson of the Prophet is the lesson of respect for others, morality, and freedom, which means that we exchange the right human, useful and constructive ideas. Obscenity, insulting, swearing and caricature are not part of morality, democracy and humanity".
Expressing satisfaction with the very timely and decisive reaction of the Islamic world to the inappropriate words of some Western officials, the President said, "This very timely and decisive reaction shows that the Islamic world will always follow the great Prophet of Islam".
Dr Rouhani expressed his hope that those who made a mistake in this regard would make up for their mistake as soon as possible and return to the path of justice, morality and respect for the beliefs of all the heavenly religions.
In another part of his speech, referring to the meeting of the National Task Force Against Coronavirus in the presence of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution and his statements, the President said, "The Supreme Leader of the Revolution made very important statements in this meeting, almost all of which were inspired by the school of Imam Sadiq (AS)".
Stating that one of the most important points that the Supreme Leader emphasised was unity and social cohesion, Dr Rouhani said, "I believe that even if we were in normal conditions and there were no sanctions and coronavirus, we needed unity and brotherhood, love and brotherhood for the perfection of society".
The President stated, "Criticism is necessary, but what is important is that criticism is done for what purpose? If criticism is intended to confuse people's minds and create distance between different groups, it is no longer considered criticism".
Thanking Supreme Leader's support, the President said, "The support and words of the Supreme Leader made our responsibility heavier".
The President said, "It is supposed that a large part of the basic goods will continue to be supplied with an exchange rate of 4,200 Tomans and this will continue and people should pay attention that in the matter of currency, only the Central Bank speaks on behalf of the government, and regarding goods, the Ministry of Industry speaks on behalf of the government".
Dr Rouhani said, "The government fully understand the problems of the people and has made every effort to resolve them, and I am confident that we will end this path with pride and victory, and US sanctions are taking their last breaths".
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran also went on to state, "Recent sanctions indicate Iran's success and US' desperation".
"Despite the problems caused by sanctions and coronavirus, the government will spare no effort for the health, livelihood and development of the country," said Rouhani.
